My semi final opponent has a record against me of 30 wins to my 10 wins.
He is 33 places higher in the rankings than me and he has won more tournaments than anybody else. Yet to get through to the final I had to beat him 3-1. With my record against him I thought I did well to draw against him 2-2. The two games I won wwre by large margins, one of the games he won he only beat me by 3 points. He however goes through and no doubt will add another tournament to his tally

This - ?

He won more games in the tournament than you did: you had four wins in the group stage, he had five. Had it been the same, you would very probably have won the tie-break, but you can do the maths yourself.
