Better chance with white or red?
Is there someone who knows something about statistic?
I wonder why on yourturnmyturn red wins with 54,2% - white only with 45,8 %.
(238 games played).
On jijbent white wins with 55,65 % - red only with 44,14 %.
I think that is significant.
I have five suggestions:
A) Ist a counting problem of the programm.
Who first lay two tiles (anyway he later plays red) he is counted with white and most of the gamer, who know this game, also invite and set the first tiles.
And contrary on jijbent the person, who choose the colour is counted and has the greater fortune.
B) Because good player will look, what the best colour to win is and just on yourturnmyturn the first gamer win with white, now the stronger player also decide to take white. And so contrary on jijbent.
C) It is something with the cultural preference of colours of the nation.
D) First player of „Ponte del Diavolo“ told me, that they have the feeling, white might be stronger because of the first move (just a feeling).
Other good „ponte“- Player said, they prefer red, because they can react and can better see, what the opponent wants to do.
So it will change on yourturnmyturn when there will be also 6000 games played.
E) Now when i told you my suspicions, you all will change your mind and statistic will change too (self fulling prophecy).
I only believe in statistcs i forge myself |

I wonder what percentage of players have elected to take the white tiles after the first player lays them. I wonder if it's close to 5.65%. |

You really think that 95% of the second player who can choose the colour will take red? That would that most of the first two tiles shows a position, that would be a bad start?. I hardly believe it. |

Might be because Vinnie has 200 wins/1 loss. He grabs the white tiles at the beginning most of the time, because the opponents underestimates the opening a lot.
Most good players take white, even when the opening isn't that great, you will always have one turn advantage. |

No, I think that only 5% of the second player who can choose the colour will take red? possibly? |

But when only 5% of the player choose red, because most player think, that red is a bad start, why does win red with about 45 %. So bad red can not be.
I tried to give both colors a equal chance and the different between jijbent and yourturnmyturn perhaps show this.
But perhaps there are some other reasons for the differnce of wins from white and red. |
