One thing is that it gives the bugs but i find it really unfair gameplay from the opponent to use it in so a way!!!!!

The sum is correct and allowed.

6 + [0 x 6] : 274 = 6 + [0:274] = [6 + 0] = 6

How is this allowed. from the rules it states
"There is exactly one '=' in the sum."
In the example given there are THREE =
Also, where did the [] come from. 6+0x6 =36 where I live. Where is the rule regarding 'imaginary'brackets. The sum 6+[0x6] may well lead to a correct answer, but surely it is not A) in the spirit of the game and B) no maths teacher (in England) would ever allow that equation as the bracketed part is redundant.
Actually the game would surely be better if using 0 as a multiplier was eliminated. 123456 x 0 = 0 may well be 'correct' but surely that's not what the designer intended.

What I did was try to explain how you should make your sum. the brackets indicate the first step you have to take. so first you have to do 0x6 then you have to do 0:274 and then 6+0.

And nowhere in the whole world is 6+0x6=36. Everywhere the rule is: first do the x and then the plus sign so 6+0x6=6.

OUCH...REALLY WHAT IS THAT? I guess new games have to work out bugs but it sure stinks when they are working on you!! That formula doesn't make sense at all. Does it? Or am I missing something?

it's a correct sum. 0x6=0 and 0:274=0. So the sum is 6+0=6

I guess in the never-ending quest for artificially jacked-up academic pass rates to feather political nests, moron-level math has been chucked out of the window??

The arithmetic RULE of linear arithmatic is BODMAS:

http://www.key2study.com/bodmas.htm

..so the division occurs first, THEN the multiplication, THEN the addition.

This still yields 6, but to 'simplify' the equation by bracketing the multiplication operation is incorrect and misleading.

You are incorrect, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Order_of_operations

Division and Multiplication are first read from left to right then addition and substraction from left to right!

Either my quoted reference is incorrect, or yours is.
I think I prefer to trust a MATHS site over Wikipedia.

Either way sir, *I* am not incorrect.

Open MS Excel, type the sum and see what Excel makes of it.

{type =6+0*6/274 in a cel}
