I just realized that the British Museum's Ur game may be using more than "1 or 0" for their dice, which might account for the strange ratios, though I'm not sure how. It would appear that they're using several possibilities for each die as they lay in different orientations. Something like a random selection out of 6 per, instead of 2 - although the first two dice appear to contain more variants than the last two...though I'm not sure why they would do that, unless it is based on the actual dice that were discovered...perhaps they're inclined to roll in this manner due to shape or wear on some of them - either way, there are definitely more 4's and zeros and somewhat less 1's and 3's than the math of 4 identical dice would predict.
Your version - the 2 player version - seems quite accurate.
This isn't important but it's interesting - randomly speaking...lol |
