How do you score points?

The rules are these:

Game End and scoring method.
If the white player can no longer place two tiles and does not want to build a bridge, the red player has one more turn. If the red player can no longer place two tiles and does not want to build a bridge, the game ends immediately.

Each player scores his islands. A single island, which is not connected to other islands, is worth 1 point. Connected islands (including via sandbanks) count as follows:

The winner is the player with the most points. If there is a tie, the winner is the player with the most islands. If there is still a tie, the winner is the player with the most bridges. If there is still a tie, the game ends in a draw.

In game 1562840 I place a bridge between j8 and h8. Both islands are connected to another island. So I get 0 points (?????)

My opponent placed his bridge between k7 and k9. So from an island to a sandbank. This is the only bridge going to that island. The sandbank is connected to another island. Points are also 1. (this one I understand)

Question is: my score of 0 shouldn't that be 3 and if no why not...

placing the bridge j8-h8 does not connect new islands. The 2 islands are already connected via another Island and bridges f8-d8 / d9f11 / h11-j9

Oh, OK. I always thought that a direct link always scores points. Even when there was an indirect link...

It explains also my low rating... Laughing
