Hello.
I might have been blind whilst reading through the rules, but I could not find the difference between Draughts and Checkers... Would some wiser man/woman/person please enlighten a beginner?

Thank you in advance! Smile

the difference is the board size and the number of stones you have.
Checkers: 8x8 with 12 stones each
Draughts: 10x10 with 20 stones each

another difference is that with checkers, capturing with normal stones is only possible forward (in draughts also backwards).

For kings in checkers you can move only 1 field, and end after capturing directly behind a stone, in draughts you can move with a king a longer distance and end further away after a capture.

See the rules.

After reading throught the rules again, I now saw the difference.
Checkers is the one I've been playing, not Draughts...
