The maths of the game has a break even point chance of a mine at 1/5, so guess if its more, else open board, or if exact decide which to do.
The game could be made more complicated and colourful if mines had different values such as 3 sets of mines valued at 2,3,4,5,6 and 7 and coloured the same as snooker balls but only 15 out of those 18, this would increase the break even chance and reduce guesses and require more skill mainly with parity play towards edges |
